There’s a ’90s hip-hop concert going down at this year’s Pegasus World Cup

January 13th, 2022

We’re talking Lil’ Kim, Ja Rule, Mase and more.

Like most Miami events worth their salt, the 2022 Pegasus World Cup is coming in hot with nightlife programming that has absolutely nothing to do with the main draw, which, in this case, is Thoroughbred racing.

This year, in addition to watching the stunning cavalry sprint to the finish line and knocking back craft cocktails at the new Carousel Bar, you’ll get to cap off your day at the races with a show—the sort of epic ‘90s throwback every fan of old-school hip-hop will be excited about. Ja Rule, Lil’ Kim and Mase are scheduled to perform at the 2022 Pegasus World Cup. The show is part of DJ Cassidy’s Pass the Mic series—which has featured the likes of LL Cool J, Run DMC and TLC—and is set to make its IRL debut on the Pegasus stage.

Downtown’s 24/7 ultraclub E11EVEN Miami is also setting up shop trackside, providing a posh spot for VIPs to hang during the event, while Faena Live takes over Gulfstream’s exclusive Flamingo Room with a pop-up version of its immersive cabaret show, Tryst.

Not a celeb or part of the in-crowd? Not to worry. The concert is open to the public and tickets are on sale now.
